Colorful Typography and Brand Identity Design for an Art Gallery

The Space is an art gallery in New Richmond, WI that features the work of independent artists in western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota.

We created an logo and continued the identity system design with colorful typography to be used in their marketing materials.

The global visual identity also includes  the use of unique photography of items that “feature” artwork, just like The Space. We worked with Luke Studios, a Twin Cities commercial photographer to photograph easels, frames, stands and other items that feature, facilitate or display art – just like the art gallery does.

When we developed the identity for The Space, an art gallery in Western Wisconsin, we didn’t just create a logo – but also a standardized array of graphics and photos as extensions of the entire brand identity.

We helped develop an identity that encapsulated the concept of facilitation, which at it’s core, is what this art gallery and performing arts center did. We directed photos of various items that facilitate the creation of practice of the arts. We also standardized a typographical treatment used to convey messages in multiple mediums with harmony.

Other portions of this project included the development of a website and print materials. Some of those additional items are below.
